Throughout 2021, The Collab-Connected are gathering materials to create a large scale textile and sound installation. They are looking for people of all ages and from all walks of life to take part in their safe and supported space. φuipu Knots are an ancient method of recording stories, consisting of coloured yarns knotted in different ways.

The Collab-Connected's φuipu are used as a metaphor for life, where knots mark defining moments, and reflections which arise are recorded. They'd love you to join in, in exploring stories of your life with your own personal φuipu yarn and your voice, taking a step back and observing your life.

Bringing these stories together will help participants to see that we are all part of something much larger than we tend to perceive day by day. Perhaps this larger landscape has a beauty and a pattern to it which we are not aware of when we are focussed on our individual 'knots'.

Quipu Recollections invites people to record their lived experiences.
It's aim is to create immersive safe-spaces for story-telling, and find new, innovative ways to navigate memory and support wellbeing.
