Visual Art, Performance, Film

Graduate Drive Thru is a grassroots project that evolved in response to student degree shows being cancelled by the pandemic. It will be an open-air exhibition held on the rooftop of an NCP car park, with breathtaking views across the city of Glasgow. The exhibiting artists graduated from undergraduate and postgraduate courses across multiple art disciplines in 2020 from the Glasgow School of Art. This will be a magical, fabulous, sexy, multidisciplinary show consisting of sculpture, painting, film, performance and print. The idea for this project has been ongoing since last June with the intention of forming a supportive network amidst the devastating effects of the pandemic. Since then, the group has developed its own professional practice strategies through sharing funding applications, running workshops, and meeting on a regular basis. Graduate Drive Thru is co-coordinated by graduates Chao-Ying Elizabeth Rao and Robert McCormack, and is kindly supported by the Hope Scott Trust, the Glasgow School Of Art, and the William Syson Foundation.
