Taking a spin on one of my architectural favourites; the column. A structural support that brings noble-status to the building it resides within. Its functional ability paired with its majestic feel makes it the perfect accompaniment for an abode. Combined with one of my favourite side dishes; corn on the cob. A simplistic yet delicious addition. It can be cooked in many ways but devoured by only one.

With these two aspects in mind, I present to you the Corn on the Column.

Amy Kim Grogan is a sculptor based in Glasgow. Her practice focuses on our relationship with everyday objects; an alternative realm is explored through repetition, material and settlement.
